Cadet Mentoring Program

A Cadet Mentoring program provides aspiring Cadets with personalised support and guidance as they navigate the complex training and career path in the maritime industry. The program offers a one-on-one mentoring relationship with an experienced Marine Officer or tutor, who provides ongoing support and advice to the cadet.

The mentor helps the cadet to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their training and career. This may include guidance on academic requirements, practical training onboard a ship, exam preparation, and career planning.

The mentoring relationship provides a safe space for the cadet to ask questions, seek advice, and receive feedback on their progress. The mentor acts as a role model, offering insights into the challenges and opportunities in the maritime industry, and helping the cadet to build their confidence and resilience.

A Cadet Mentoring program can help aspiring Cadets to:

• Develop a better understanding of the industry and the skills required to succeed as a Marine Officer
• Identify and overcome any academic or practical challenges they may face
• Gain valuable insights into the career opportunities available and develop a plan for their future
• Build a network of contacts and relationships that can support their career development

A successful Cadet Mentoring program requires a commitment from both the mentor and the cadet. The mentor must have the experience and expertise needed to provide effective guidance, while the cadet must be willing to learn and put in the effort required to succeed.

By participating in a Cadet Mentoring program, aspiring Cadets can benefit from the knowledge and experience of a seasoned professional, helping them to achieve their goals and become successful Officers in the maritime industry.

This will be charged on a monthly basis with no contract and can be stopped at any point. Once payment is made you will receive an email with information on the next steps. The program will last for a month and if the candidate wishes to extend the program they simply purchase it again.
